Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 August 2026. The Golden Scriptorium is a small fan-run publication. We run this website, The Sigillite Facebook Page and its linked Instagram account, and we collect as little about you as we can get away with.

This website

thegoldenscriptorium.com runs on WordPress. We do not run advertising networks, we do not sell or share data, and we add no third-party analytics or tracking scripts of our own. Like nearly every website, our host keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting; they are not used to identify or profile visitors.

If the site displays embedded content from other services (for example an embedded video or social post), that content behaves as if you had visited the originating site, and its provider’s own privacy policy applies to it.

The “MS” Facebook app

“MS” is an internal publishing tool. It exists so that we — the people who run this site — can schedule and publish our own posts to our own Facebook Page and Instagram account, and read aggregate statistics about them. Specifically, the app:

Accesses: our own Page’s access tokens, the posts and comments we create on our own Page and Instagram account, and aggregate engagement and reach metrics, all through Meta’s Graph API.

Does not: offer login to anyone outside our team, collect or process personal data of any Facebook or Instagram user, read anyone’s profile, friends or messages, track anyone across sites, or share or sell any data to anyone.

The app stores only its own working data — access tokens and the queue of posts we have written — on a private server we control, retained only as long as it is needed to run the Page.

Data deletion

The MS app holds no data about anyone outside our own team, so there is normally nothing of yours for us to delete. If you believe we hold any data about you — from the app, this website or our social accounts — message The Sigillite on Facebook and we will identify anything we hold and delete it within 30 days.

Facebook and Instagram themselves

Our Page and Instagram account live on Meta’s platform, and anything you do there — following, reacting, commenting — is governed by Meta’s own Privacy Policy, not this one. We see the same aggregate statistics any Page owner sees; we do not receive your personal data from Meta.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with an updated effective date. Questions: message The Sigillite on Facebook.
